community GROUPS

During our summer outdoor market, the Farmers & Makers Market proudly offers 2 booth spaces every Saturday for community not-for-profits and charities to engage with our shoppers and provide information on the work they are doing to improve our communities. Group may apply for up to 2 market dates each outdoor season. 

Interested in a booth space for your community group?

  • Apply for the summer season by sending us an email with your request no later than April 28, 2020

If we are interested and able to offer your group a booth space at one of our markets we will get back to you.

We prioritize:

  • Non-profit, charitable or community-serving groups.

  • Groups with a local connection, or particular relevance, to the neighborhoods nearby the market. 

  • Groups who have a major focus in a topic related to local food and/or farms, good health for people and/or the planet, community or cultural capacity-building, education, or other aspects of our mission, vision, and values.

  • Organizations related to any of the above who are also willing to volunteer one or more market days with our Market Kids Program.

 

Important information:

  • Accepted Community Organizations are provided with a 10' x 10' stall space free of charge for the market day.

  • Organizations may be scheduled for up to three dates per season as space allows.

  • F&MM operates rain or shine, please come prepared.

  • Participating organizations must staff their booth for the entirety of market.

  • Failure to arrive on-time or leaving early may impact ability to participate in future markets.

  • We ask that community participants arrive no later than 9:15am and be ready to engage with shoppers by 10am.

  • Street parking is available around the market.

 

Community groups who participate at the market are NOT ALLOWED to:

  • Sell items from the booth (including raffle tickets), or fund raise (including donation jars and in-kind services).

  • Leave the market early unless special permission is granted from market management.

  • Give away items that directly impact the sales of market vendors - all items for give-away must be approved in advance by the Market Manager .

  • Be political or religious in a partisan manner.

 

We do allow:

  • Membership purchases by the public

  • Political issue advocacy for issues that directly relate to local/regional small farms and sustainability issues.

 

Please note: the Farmers & Makers Market reserves the right to accept or decline applications.
