THANK YOU CALGARY for keeping us your favourite weekly Farmers Markets to shop locally made, baked and grown from our market farm, food and artisan vendors; a place to gather and connect with friends and neighbours, to enjoy live music at the Market Stage and wonderful Artist-led activities at our Kids Arts & Culture Program!

TWO NEW LOCATIONS FOR 2023!

We're growing, and now have 2 inner-city locations - the Farmers & Makers Market Beltline, Wednesdays 3 - 7pm May 24 - October 4 at Central Memorial Park, and the Farmers & Makers Market Sunalta, Saturdays 10am - 2pm June 3 - October 7 at Sunalta Community Association.

This year our our not-for-profit Government of Alberta certified Alberta Approved Farmers Markets are home to more local farmers, food makers and craft artisans than ever before! Over 90% of what you'll find at the market every week is made, baked and grown by our market vendors themselves - with most originating no farther than 30km from the market - making it easier than ever to eat and support local, and take meaningful steps toward reducing your food miles and supporting a sustainable local food system.

LOVE A GREAT MARKET? Volunteer with us this year!

With 2 new market locations this year, we're looking to grow our team of passionate, hard working volunteers to help make market days great this season! We have a wide variety of volunteer roles available starting May 24 and would love to hear from you! More info and to get in touch click here.

NOTABLE NEWS

This year the F&MM is bringing back a new and improved version of our Market Membership program! This is a reciprocal program where your membership helps support the markets, and in return you'll receive at-market benefits including member-only vendor discounts and more - coming soon!

With the increasing need in our communities for food access - and especially for fresh, local, nutrient dense food - the F&MM is opening a Donation Station at both market locations. We hope that those able will consider purchasing a little extra for others when they shop, or bringing along non perishables when they come. Donations will be accepted at our Welcome booth every market day, and will be delivered to local community fridges and other food access groups at the end of the market day.

We are so happy to announce the return of a Community Booth at our markets, where visitors can connect and learn about local initiatives and the important work local charities and non-profit service groups are doing in our communities - more info coming soon!

As always, our farmers markets welcome everyone to gather together with community, connect with friends and neighbours, and enjoy amazing live music on our market stages, and free drop-in Kids Arts & Culture programming with our partners at Jube School

We are so very grateful for your continued support, and are so happy to have you join us in Feeding Community and Culture in Calgary!
